Moja žena I ja smo se počeli baviti psima 1.srpnja 1979.godine. Tada smo uzeli svog prvog Bobtaila radi kojeg se razvila strast prema psima zbog koje smo uključeni u svijet pasa.

Od 1985.godine imam čast suditi na međunarodnom nivou. Počevši naravno sa Bobtailima dosada sam postao sudac za sve pasmine FCI grupe I, II, IV, VI I X.  Tokom godina imali smo Bobtaile, Njemačke oštrodlaki ptičare te Njufaundlandere I PBGV-e. Moja strast je raditi sa psima na način za što su originalno uzgajani.  Pa upravo iz tog razloga sam radio sa našim Njufaundlenderima u vodi te išao u lov sa Petitima.

Predsjednik sam organizacijskog odbora Maastricht izložbi te također radim na edukaciji ljudi pomažući im da postani ovako strastveni kao što sam I ja. Također sam uključen u edukaciju sudaca.

Već  nekoliko godina vršim dužnost dopredsjednika Nizozemskog saveza te sam bio u odboru zaduženom za zdravlje I dobrobit pasa I sudaca. Od 2014.godine sam predsjednik FCI odbora za suce  te dugogodišnji član odbora za uzgoj.

Sudio sam po cijeloj Europi te uživam u razgovorima sa strastvenim ljubiteljima pasa.

Za mene pas mora biti upotrebljiv za funkciju za koju je namijenjen, što uključuje pse koji ni u čemu nisu pretjerani te mogu normalno disati I kretati se bez problema. Sva sreća da postoji velik broj upravo takvih pasa te iz tog razloga i volim suditi.

Since the 1st of July 1979 my wife and I have dogs. Starting with an Old English Sheepdog that gave us the passion to be involved with dogs the rest of our lives.

Since 1985 I have the honor to judge at FCI level. Starting (ofcourse) with the Old English Sheepdog and now judging all breeds in FCI groups 1,2,4,6 and 10. During the years we had bobtails, German Wirehaired Pointers and since a lot of years Newfoundlands and Petits Bassets Griffon Vendeens living in our house. I have a passion for working with dogs in the way they originally have been bred for. So working in the water with our Newfoundlands and trying to hunt with the Petits in the field and woods.

I’m the president of the Maastricht International Dogshows, educate people and helping them to become as passionate as I am with dogs. Also involved in educating judges.

Since quite a few years I am the vice president of the Dutch Kennelclub Raad van Beheer and in this board responsible for health and welfare for dogs and also judges. Since 2014 I am the president of the FCI Show Judges Commission and a member for years now in the FCI Breeding Commission. Judged all over Europe where I  love to hang around and talk with people about the passion, our dogs.

To me dogs must be fit for their function they have been bred for. Dogs without exxagerations that can breath and move without problems. Lucky that we have a lot of dogs that fit to this picture. That’s why I love to judge!
